The Salamander is a mighty lass. She’s roomy in the bottom and tall in the headroom department; all wooden, shiny and set up for discovery on the inside, whilst outside she’s gleaming white and silver.

The owners, Chris and Sue, are great too. Chris (very tall), Sue (not so tall) manoeuvre around their lady with ease – and so they should – they sailed around the world in her fairly recently.

They are consumate hosts. They know when to chat and be interested, how to listen and when to leave you alone – critical for a days adventure and relaxing. Sue was a lawyer and Chris was an architect but they threw it all in and bought an American RV van and drove it from Norway to Greece, whereupon they spied a boat and learnt to sail, and after quite a few miles in all of the worlds oceans, here they are now, ready for you to board ship…

For overnight charters we recommend a trip that includes Yarmouth; a charming picturesque and historic harbour town in western Isle of Wight. The harbour lies right in the centre, allowing for a short and easy stroll ashore to visit the castle, the many pubs and a variety of places to eat, including the gorgeous George Hotel originally built in 1670 for Admiral Sir Robert Holmes, the Governor of the Isle of Wight, where you can choose to eat either in their Isla Restaurant, or The Conservatory. The latter enjoys superb panoramic views over their lawn and private foreshore of the Western Solent.

It's also a sure win for surprise birthdays or celebrations. Let us know if we can help you arrange anything. We promise not to let the cat out the bag!
