Lymington Village | 6 grownups + 2 babies | Close to the quay
* * *
Lymington is often in The Times ‘Top 10 places to live in the UK’. This smart town house is within minutes of the vibrant high street and the beautiful cobbled side streets of Old Town Quay. Further on, you’ll find mile after mile of smart yachting marinas and sea wall footpaths to admire the boats from.
Our favorite things to do when staying here are:
Walking to the new art gallery on the coastal sea walls.
Taking the train from Lymington out into the forest and walk back stopping at nice pub for lunch on the way.
Lymington also has a thriving and very popular Saturday market for which the road is closed for most of the day. It takes up almost the entire high street and is a foodie heaven – cakes, cheeses, breads, deli bits and bobs, meat, pies, drinks, some furniture, some plant stalls etc. Go early – it gets very busy.
What we loved about Number Two Lymington is that it’s very quiet, private, modern and an easy walk for yachties and those wanting the convenience of town-living.
"Number Two is in a great location near the centre of Lymington, which we found had everything we needed for a great family weekend - plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 young children, the fenced off garden area was particularly useful with a walking 2-year old! We were lucky with the weather and one evening we used the BBQ which worked very well and stayed out in the garden area until about 10 pm. Can't fault the accommodation which worked very well for us and everything provided was excellent. Lymington is a really picturesque town with a thriving Saturday market and the surrounding New Forest area is lovely. Would definitely stay at Number Two again!
